One of the greatest and most beautiful coachbuilt pre-war cars is the “Round Door” Rolls-Royce. The story of the Rolls-Royce Phantom I that became the “Round Door” Aerodynamic Coupe by Jonckheere, started in 1925 when it was delivered new with a Hooper Cabriolet body to its first owner. It continued with this Hooper coachwork until 1934. This is when the cars new owner sent the car to Jonckheere of Belgium, to be fitted with the stunning aerodynamic coachwork that the car got its name from “Round Door”. Complete with twin sunroofs, the iconic round doors, a large tail fin, and a sloped version of the Rolls-Royce Pantheon radiator shell. This 1930's
One-off coachbuilt marvel is now on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum located in Los Angeles, CA. Since it was acquired by the Museum in 2001.

Built with accurate designs and correct Rolls-Royce Phantom I chassis as per the original. The Jonckheere Reborn's coachwork is handcrafted in aluminum and is the result of thousands of hours of handmade traditional coachbuilding. Available in three versions, our Jonckheere Reborn can be tailored for your exact needs. The first version we build is using an original Rolls-Royce Phantom I chassis, just like the one used by Jonckheere in 1934. We also offer another two versions built on the period correct chassis of the Phantom II and Phantom III. We offer this so our clients can have a truly bespoke motorcar in both mechanical as well as, exterior and interior specifications.
