After WWII, and with the advance of mass production cars, the art of coachwork practically disappeared...and with it, the once famous companies too! The few ones that survived were absorbed by the large car manufacturers and sadly the same happened with the Design companies. 
Fortunately, today Retro Coachbuilders talented Team of coachworkers and ateliers throughout Italy can literally design and build any type and model of Antique, Classic, Modern or futuristic Hyper cars from scratch! We do everything, from the Chassis design and construction, to the sculptured body of your dreams, to one-off custom V12 aluminum and racing engines and beyond. 
From the 60 + years of experience learned from designing and building the Italian finest cars, our Team is not only the best and most capable in the world to restore those iconic Italian Classic cars to wealthy collectors, but also to construct the worlds finest "nut and bolt" exact reproductions of such extraordinary cars you can find only here, including those that were One-Off prototypes and unobtainable because their extreme rarity and stratospheric market value.

In addition to the hands of the best metal coachworkers still alive today in Italy, thanks to the precision of CAD drawings, finite element analysis (FEA) and 5 axis CNC milling machines we can today successfully design, engineer and build "Rolling Masterpieces" of the most complex and beautiful designs.

The lines can be Retro from iconic cars from the past and /or just completely futuristic with new innovative ideas and solutions limited only by the imagination and your bank account.

We can literally reproduce any vintage or antique car to the smallest detail, including the engines, transmission, etc. or do a mix of timeless designs with Next Gen powerplants, including hybrid and full electric vehicles.

At Retro Coachbuilders, we specialize in creating "Rolling Art" with innovative and fresh design ideas and next gen engineering techniques that suit all tastes and budgets.

We work closely with our clients in turning their automotive dream and vision into reality.

We also take ideas and futuristic concepts that were never executed before, or very rare cars that were built in very limited numbers, and built exact reproductions to the smallest original detail, so you can keep the original safe in the museum.

Art Retro™

Retro Coachbuilders Art Retro™ coachwork, is built in the Art Deco streamlined style upon chassis from that era. Art Retro™ brings back the golden age of coachbuilding that was in the 1920s and 1930s. Coachbuilding new designs in classic style or constructing coachwork designs from that era. Period correct mechanicals or alternatives like Aero Engines and also modern powertrain options. We will create the most beautiful 4 wheeled work of art for you!

Automobiles Reborn™

Reborn™, Automobiles from Retro Coachbuilders is a true novelty
for the classic car world. Our Reborn™ series of cars are not replicas and go way beyond any recreation. Unlike replicas and most recreation cars, Reborn™ Automobiles are truly authentic to the originals, bringing the driving experience of these legendary and iconic classics to the present day.

We use drawings and plans of the originals and 3D scans to create our bespoke cars with period correct or exact original mechanical parts and drivetrains as well. From the chassis to engine and from the coachwork to upholstery, our Reborn™ cars are as originals as the ones from the era.

Now, for those who are looking for more performance in a classic, our Reborn™ cars will also work for you!

Most of our Reborn™ cars are available in three versions:
Reborn Classic™, Reborn Retro™ and Reborn EV™.

Modern Coachbuilding

Retro Coachbuilders, Modern Coachbuilding is bringing back the art of handcrafted coachbuilt cars to the present day. From futuristic design to the use of both traditional coachbuilding methods and modern materials to create an automotive masterpiece! Starting with our in house designers create cutting edge futuristic designs. Then we create a 3D model and plans to bring the car to life. Finally our artisans create the automotive sculpture that is the handcrafted coachwork and assemble the body onto the chassis. Completing what was a vision into drive-able reality! We can rebody most modern cars depending on chassis and frame design. Retro Coachbuilders Modern Coachbuilding projects are available in two forms: One is our limited series coachbuilt cars, like the Maserati based Corona GTX 2+2 seen to the right. The second form is creating a bespoke One-off project. With this we can create the exact dream car you have visioned driving.
Starting with a consultation to start the design process and discuss what car you would like to use as a base chassis for your creation or build a bespoke one. Is is then followed by finalizing the design and starting the construction of your One-off project.
